I offer individual psychotherapy for adults seeking support with concerns including:
mood difficulties
recurrent relationship difficulties
attachment insecurity and trauma
identity development
grief and loss
life transitions
Individual therapy can be a place to better understand yourself, your history, and your relationships. Some people come to therapy in a moment of crisis; others come with longstanding questions about why certain patterns continue to repeat or why they feel stuck in ways they cannot easily name.
I offer 50-minute individual psychotherapy for adolescents and teens seeking support with concerns including:
loneliness and disconnection in social groups and contexts
attachment trauma and loss
identity development
grief and loss
life transitions
recurring affect dysregulation and interpersonal patterns of conflict without repair or closure
Individual therapy can be a place to better understand yourself, your history, and your relationships. Some patients come to therapy in a moment of crisis; others come with longstanding questions about why certain patterns continue to repeat or why they feel stuck in ways they cannot easily name or have satisfying closure.
I offer 50 and 90-minute couples integrative emotion focused, Gottman and psychodynamic psychotherapy for partners who want to better attune, attach, understand and strengthen their relationship and the patterns that shape it. Couples may seek therapy because of:
recurring conflict
communication impasse
emotional disconnect
insecure attachment
family or life transitions
differences in identity, desire, or direction
difficulty repairing after conflict
Couples therapy is not only a place to repair conflict, but also a place to deepen understanding. Together, we can explore the dynamics that sustain re-wounding without learning while making more room for authenticity, and repair for lasting intimacy.
Group psychotherapy for adults as a powerful way to explore yourself in relation to others. Group can be especially helpful for people looking to explore
long term connections in a group
re-work new patterns of relating beyond family or existing social groups
feeling understood in new ways
understanding secure, adaptive patterns in relationships
working through shame, conflict, belonging, and trust
authentic, vulnerable, and satisfying group connection
Group therapy creates a space where interpersonal processes emerge in real time. This can make group a uniquely meaningful setting for insight, support, and change.
Process groups for teens ages 13-17. Group therapy can be a valuable space for teens to feel real, less alone, better understood, and more connected to peers navigating similar struggles. It can be especially helpful for teens dealing with:
loneliness and social disconnection
identity development and belonging
anxiety or depression
peer and family conflict
self-esteem and shame
difficulty expressing feelings or trusting others
In a thoughtful and supportive group setting, teens have the opportunity to explore their emotions, relationships, and sense of self in real time with peers. Group can help teens build insight, strengthen communication, and experience connection in new ways.
I offer limited trauma-informed play therapy for children 12 and under. Play becomes the language that children communicate intolerable feelings, experiences, and conflicts. This work can be helpful for children coping with:
trauma, neglect, and the overwhelm of alone-ness from recurrent trauma or CPTSD
anxiety, anguish and emotional distress
behavioral changes
grief and loss
family transitions
social or relational difficulties
My approach is nondirective, developmentally attuned, and relational. I work to create a space where children can feel safe enough to express themselves through play, while also supporting parents in understanding their child’s affective, cognitive and imaginative life to foster connection. Because my play therapy for trauma is limited in scope, I recommend additional referrals when longer-term, acute-distress has resolved and more generalized care is needed for sustainability.
